Moving means many new things: a new home, new neighbours… and often a new way of getting around. How do you travel in and out of the neighbourhood? On foot, by bike, with shared mobility, public transport, or by car?

The municipality and the Amsterdam Transport Authority (Vervoerregio Amsterdam) believe it is important that you can move around the city comfortably. We are curious about how you travel through the cityThat is why we are conducting a study into your travel patterns and are offering new residents of the neighbourhood discounts on transportation in the coming months!

De Nieuwe Kern is being designed with cyclists in mind. Wide cycle paths and fast connections make it easy and sustainable to travel through the neighbourhood by bike. You can reach Duivendrecht or Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA railway stations in just 4 minutes, or the ArenA Boulevard in 5 minutes for a concert or a visit to the furniture stores. And did you know that the vibrant hotspots of Amsterdam East are only a 20-minute bike ride away?

E‑bike: flexible and fast
